health care reform from the source...a navy vet

i did my stint in the navy and am proud of it. i enjoyed the long days and nights, the close friends, and how everything was taken care of for me. unfortunately, i didn't enjoy the medical treatment i received and like most observant and intelligent humans in this world, i know the government will never provide decent health care for anyone. the post office has failed, medicaid has failed, the va has failed, and the military has failed; all government agencies meant to provide help and service to the citizens of the usa have failed to maintain themselves, make money, or provide the projected services. all while fedex, united health, blackwater and lockhead martin have all made billions in the past year alone.

so, why would americans listen to an uneducated president with no insight over an issue that has clearly been subject to failure time and time again? stupidity? lack of integrity? mabye some of these blind followers are subject to what i call the "why generation." these individuals lack the ability to ask why and just follow commands. the main problem i see is the lack of anyone to look at the big picture. not even the president will talk big picture numbers. we're not talking about individuals with cancer that need health care, we're talking about eliminating competition and conforming our future; dependent on health to a system that encourages overspending, poor service, and false security. we're talking about a system that will not make a dime but cost the citizens of the usa to pay for the poor decisions of corrupt politicians in cash and health.

do yourself a favor and ask this question to a military member, would you pay for the healthcare you received in the military if it wasn't free? if that military member has ever had cancer, or a debilitating deisease, they will likely explain that the healthcare they receive is sub par. personally i was a pilot before the navy treated a simple spine fracture incorrectly and ended my career, job, and ability to bend over and tie my own shoes. it's the only time in my life where my injury became worse over time. why was everything overlooked, because no one had to answer to anyone and their jobs was safe no matter what they did...sound familiar? the post office acts the same way. do you really want this sort of attitude handling you future and health?

i don't but i have no choice now, i disabled to the point of being non-employable and it's all thanks to government run health-care. i'm not the only one, but like many no one will hear me.

the navy is still in me

funny things happen when you exit the military...your body keeps the worst habits. i say this due to my lack of sleep at night because no one is on watch. i rig traps on my back deck for the local pot heads to disturb, signaling me from the safety of my bedroom that visitors have arrived. often i'm told by the visitors that their party is on the way out to meet them, knowing personally it's a lie i check for myself. tonight i stood watch for the first time in six months on a stairway facing the deck. this was enjoyable for me and a short watch at 3 hours. i enjoy watching life play out before my eyes, hidden and quiet. although i only ran two groups of people off our deck, the real enjoyment came from sitting still for an extended time and enjoying what i hated my about my navy career.

Why we move...

jess and i will be purchasing a home soon and one of the reasons why is our current and wonderful back deck. every night at least once i will hear racket out my window causing me to investigate the disturbance. i usually find the same ally-cat ringleader that has lead a group of friends to our private back deck to smoke marijuana. Add Image Add Imagei ask them to leave every time and get a new excuse why they were there. being someone that breaks rules, i can understand the attempt to use a private deck for public pleasure. but, i can not admire an idiot that doesn't know when to stop. if cops were reliable I would have them do something about the issue.
